My inspiration for this photo set came from Alfred Stieglitz. Stieglitz was an American photographer and he focused on light and composition. I really tried to focus on lighting and I tried to find beauty in my photos. When I was taking these photos, I found it really fun to take these cool pictures of nature and natural light. I tried to focus on simple backgrounds and nothing that is distracting from what I was trying to portray. When I was editing these photos I wanted all of them to be in black and white. In Alfred Stieglitz's time, all photos were in black and white, so I tried to recreate that. It's important to not take a photo that is too distracting. Alfred Stieglitz created a lot of photos that incorporated hands and light. My second image is inspired by a New York photo set that he did a long time ago. In that set, he took many photos at night and the street lights would be on and it looked like it was raining or it just got done raining. I think that my favorite photos are the first six and my least favorite is the ninth image.
